2012 in review

So I did my top pots, post recently. Now it is time to do a year end review.
My top 5 posts of 2011 all had to do with painting. In January, at 1050 views,  my top post was about the word Brave. This year, my word is... LOVE. I used to use words as weapons of soul crushing destruction. I've been getting better. Being married to an amazing man has helped to heal me in so many ways. I see women do this all the time. Little verbal barbs and digs. I hate that that is how I used to be and I pangs me to see other women using something that has the power to heal as a weapon against each other.  I want to do this instead: Hebrews 10:24 Let us think of ways to motivate one another to acts of love and good works.
In February, I joined up with author, Mary, Robinette Kowal and wrote 1 letter each day in February to whomever sent me their address through my blog. I meet many nice people but remained friends with, Denise from Count it All Joy!.  Who is today celebrating her 1000th post! Woot! What a joy it has been for me to get to know this amazing sister in Christ.
Get ready. I will be doing it again this year and if you would like a letter, look for the post at the end of January announcing that it is time to send your address to me. You can of course do it now but know that no letter will be sent until Feb. 1.

March showed how very tea and Cranford I was focused. Hmm, maybe a Cranford Tea for March is something we should all do? Cranford Springs is my new make believe town. I created it last year as a refuge from the busy-ness of modern life. Everyone is welcomed, but don't forget to change your caps! lol (You'll have to watch the series to get that one.)
March was also the month our house of worship was broken into. Our musical instruments and audio equipment was stolen. All has been replaced but it was not easy working with the insurance company. Is it ever?

April means Easter...and lilacs!

There are so many homes in our city with large lilac bushes growing the air is permeated with their sweet fragrance for weeks.

In May, my fermenting crock arrived! I love, love, love my crock.
I also decorated a candle using images from The Graphics Fairy, another favorite website.There is quite a bit to see in my May posts. You might want to go check them all out. For those of you new to my blog, I took a bunch of photos of the painting instructor's house. Her art is divine!

June was a hard month. It is the month that forever changed my sister's, and her family's, life. Their home burned down in the Waldo Canyon fire.

July, my birthday month-and my brother-in-law's...and my dad's! lol
Also, 108 of you stopped by to see this awful painting!

 But I would rather you looked at this one below of the pink roses!

August was a bit of a disappointment. I had booked a demo/class with an international oil paint artist but the class was not to be. Sigh. Maybe this year I can wrangle something up. I did quite a bit of decorative painting in August. There are photos.

September, I painted this for a friend and 141 of you visited to see how it turned out, thank you!
I was also busy preparing for my second craft show. There is to be another one in, April. Please keep me in you prayers on that!
September also features, tea sets, roses I painted on a phone and a reminder to keep your spiritual armour at the ready!

October, I won Marydon's giveaway. She of Blushing Rose blog. I still use my tea cozy and I love it! I also started my painting of the cardinals. I can't believe I've been working on it since October. It is not actually that involved or a painting, I just keep forgetting to finish it! I painted a jacket for a friend, continued in my spiritual warfare series and invited you all over to tea and cake. Did you have a good time?

November and December were both pretty light on the posts. Fourteen to fifteen for each month.
Thank you all for sharing your time with me. I love your comments and i love seeing the number of my followers go up.
I go where the, Lord leads me so who knows what awaits in 2013?
I know this is already a long post, but please bear with me. Here are the lyrics to an oldie but goodie hymn that is my anchor right now. so much is up in the air I MUST leave back  into the loving and supportive arms of, God.

I don't know about tomorrow;
I just live from day to day.
I don't borrow from its sunshine
For its skies may turn to grey.
I don't worry o'er the future,
For I know what Jesus said.
And today I'll walk beside Him,
For He knows what is ahead.
Many things about tomorrow
I don't seem to understand
But I know who holds tomorrow
And I know who holds my hand.
Every step is getting brighter
As the golden stairs I climb;
Every burden's getting lighter,
Every cloud is silver-lined.
There the sun is always shining,
There no tear will dim the eye;
At the ending of the rainbow
Where the mountains touch the sky.
Many things about tomorrow
I don't seem to understand
But I know who holds tomorrow
And I know who holds my hand.
I don't know about tomorrow;
It may bring me poverty.
But the one who feeds the sparrow,
Is the one who stands by me.
And the path that is my portion
May be through the flame or flood;
But His presence goes before me
And I'm covered with His blood.
Many things about tomorrow
I don't seem to understand
But I know who holds tomorrow
And I know who holds my hand...

Happy New Year my friends! May the peace of the One who made you rest upon you this year.

One of my favorite songs. Such truth in that, and a great reminder at the beginning of another untasted year!
