Chapter 7: On Humility
The second degree of humility
is that a person love not his own will
nor take pleasure in satisfying his desires,
but model his actions on the saying of the Lord,
"I have come not to do My own will,
but the will of Him who sent Me" (John 6:38).
It is written also,
"Self-will has its punishment,
but constraint wins a crown."
Just as soon as I was brave enough to talk about covering my head, the, Lord has asked me to stop. It's not as if I woke up last week and decided to cover. I have been hearing from the, Lord about this since about September of last year. I started covering at night for bedtime, and at home when painting or praying. I just started wearing a covering to church, was asked about it by one lady there and now the, Lord is saying, 'no more for now'. Okay, Lord. Whatever, You want...I'm listening.

Isn't it funny how He does that? Sometimes I think He just wants our obedience. Like Abraham -- when we willing submit to Him, regardless of how it makes us feel or costs us, it pleases Him. And sometimes it's just the willingness to be obedient that He wants to see from us. ;)
